Spice up this Valentine’s Day with some Chili Chocolate treats!
These chocolates may be tiny, but they are mighty powerful against fighting chronic disease and cell damage. Naturally occurring antioxidants from chili powder and cinnamon add a flavor twist to these Valentine’s chocolates. These spices, plus the dark chocolate and pomegranate seeds provide you with a burst of powerful antioxidants to reduce oxidative stress that your tastebuds will LOVE!
Pomegranate and Chili Dark Chocolate Crunch
- 6 oz dark chocolate (at least 80% dark)
- ½ Tbs cinnamon
- ½ Tbs chili powder
- 2 cups pomegranate seeds
- 1 Tbs sea salt flakes
Melt the dark chocolate over low heat in a small saucepan. Stir in cinnamon and chili powder. Line 12 mini muffin cups. Sprinkle 1/2 of the pomegranate seeds evenly into each cup for the bottom layer. Spoon 1/2 the chocolate mixture over the pomegranates. Repeat pomegranate and chocolate layers. Top each cup with a sprinkle of sea salt flakes. Refrigerate to chill and serve cold.
